BuraphaThe Blue Moose hackers travelled to Burapha, one of the nicer courses on the rotating schedule, Wednesday. Weather was good with a slight wind to keep the temperature down. Last Week's trophy winner, Ciano Glavina, dropped back to 22 points to once again call into question his trophy-winning score of a week earlier. Larry Emerson continued his consistent golf with 35 points to take first place. Paul Kinmond made his first podium visit with 34 points to take second. Near pin was Bruce who won 30 percent off his bill at the Blue Moose. The father and son duo, Richard and Anthony, joined the Moose golfers once again. The golfers returned to the Blue Moose for presentations and the usual provisions provided by the capable staff.
Pattaya Country ClubFour groups teed 'em up at Pattaya Country Club for Monday golf with the Blue Moose. Included in the players was Paul Kraft who has not played in three months. Because of his lay off he did not want to enter the tournament. As it goes, Paul scored 46 points and would have come in first place. Scores were good as nine of the 14 golfers had at least 34 points. We did experience a rain shower for about three holes. When the scores were totaled, Herbie Ishinaga came in third with 37 points He lost out to Joe St.Laurent on count-back of the last six holes. Joe lost out to his wife Oiy who had 39 points. Oiy learned a quick lesson on how winning means that you pay for drinks.
