Public prosecutors today filed a lawsuit against
Srisuwan Transport Co Ltd, its authorised director Rungroj Suwansri, and Somsak Sakkasemchaikul, for cheating an Indonesian firm for Bt76 million.
The prosecutors said that during Jan-Aug 2005, the three parties colluded in cheating PT Bumirejo, by promising to sell it 37,500 tonnes of sugar at the price of US$9.65 million or Bt299 million. PT Bumirejo already paid Bt76 million downpayment.
The three also forged fake shipment documents to deceive the buyer that they were shipping sugar from Chon Buri to Indonesia, against the fact that they did not have sugar in possession.
The Criminal Court was asked to press for the return of the downpayment. First hearing is scheduled for Nov 12.
