The law only applies to the disconnected

A Pakistani has announced that he will pay US$100,000 for the murder of a man who made a film that offends some Muslims.

Supposedly, murder-for-hire is against the law in Pakistan, as it is in civilised countries. If so, the Pakistani authorities should follow the rule of law, and immediatly arrest the man. He should be tried and, if found guilty, given the appropriate penalty. Of course, it won't happen, because Pakistani law is meted out subjectively and the fear of riots.

Sounds a bit like the way the law is applied subjectively in Thailand. The rule of law does not apply to certain people, depending on whether they are rich, well connected or threaten riots.
