Award-winning guitarist and composer Martin Taylor will be back in town for an intimate gig to thrill guitar lovers at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre on Dec 4.

However, only about 250 fans will have the chance to get close to one of the world's most brilliant jazz artists in a cosy living room atmosphere, where even those in the last row of seats will be able to closely watch his superb playing.

The self-taught musician has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning five decades, during which he has invented and developed a way of playing the guitar that is admired, and often imitated, by all over the world.

As well as being a guitar innovator, Taylor is also a master concert performer, with his solo shows combining virtuosity, emotion, humour, with a strong stage presence.

The show titled Martin Taylor Exclusively (A)-Live in BKK will have him performing famous compositions and arrangements, including Kwame, Kiko, Down At Cocomo's and True.

As a tribute to His Majesty the King's 84th birthday celebrations, he will also play one of the King's compositions.

In 2002, Taylor was appointed MBE for services to jazz music in The Queen's Birthday Honours List, which he received from Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.

The prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama made him an honorary doctor of music in 2010. This year, the Martin Taylor Guitar Academy was launched online and he's one of the world's most recognised online guitar teachers.

Watching him perform live of course gives a more riveting view of his finger acrobatics on the guitar.

Martin Taylor Exclusively (A)-Live
