Snoop and Justice bring the party to the capital

Bangkok is buzzing. Within the first two weeks of the year we've already had The Vaccines, The Rubens and Breakbot in town to delight music lovers. But the biggest music event so far is happening tomorrow with Together Festival, organised by AG Productions and Retox Sessions.

The first Together Festival last year saw 8,000 revellers party rocking with LMFAO, Afrojack and Lil' Jon. Tomorrow boasts an even bigger line-up, which includes rap godfather and actor Snoop Lion, electro superstar duo Justice, DJs Max Vangeli, AN2 and Quintino with performances from local talent.

The headliner hardly needs an introduction. For more than two decades, Snoop Lion, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, and formerly known as Snoop Dogg, has pretty much done it all, from selling over 30 million albums worldwide to starring in hit movies such as Starsky Hutch and Training Day.

With his new moniker, the rapper has taken on rasta culture and reggae genre, and the result will be Reincarnated, slated to be released this year. Despite rumours that the legend will only be playing five songs at the festival, the organisers have confirmed that Snoop will be performing for at least one hour. Judging from his triumphant performance at Coachella last year, Snoop is not to be missed.

Snoop alone would have been enough, but Together Festival has locked in the elusive Justice, who has been tipped to come to Bangkok for years on end.

The French electro duo emerged as a breakthrough deejay act and remixers in 2005. Justice's remix of Simian's We Are Your Friends set the world onto electro, and the duo's two albums are testament to their rock 'n' roll attitudes over dance beats combined with pop sentiments. They have since done remixes for the likes of N.E.R.D., U2, Daft Punk and Lenny Kravitz, also winning a Grammy Award for their take on MGMT's Electric Feel.

Adding to the housey line-up includes deejays Max Vangeli and AN21 alongside The Netherlands' deejay Quintino. On the home front, Thaitanium and Southside will fly the Thai flag with extra help from Bangkok Invaders and Superrzaaap deejay crew.
