BANGKOK, 3 FEBRUARY 2013 (NNT) â" The latest opinion poll shows that the ruling Pheu Thai Partyâs candidate in the Bangkok gubernatorial election is still ahead of other contestants in the race for the capitalâs top job.
The Suan Dusit Poll recently went out on the streets of Bangkok and asked eligible voters what factors can make change their minds about who they will vote for in the upcoming Governor Election.
The result shows that the number-one factor, which can influence their decisions, is all the policies outlined by each candidate, which appear more interesting and possible for execution.
The respondents also stated that they have not found any difference in the election campaigns for this yearâs poll and the last election, as the contest remains between two major political parties; the Pheu Thai and the Democrats.
Meanwhile, ABAC poll revealed that their latest survey found most respondents will still vote for Pol. Gen. Pongsapat Pongcharoen from the Pheu Thai Party, with Democrat Party contender, M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra, coming in number-two on their favorite list.
When asked about worries over the influence of national politics over the upcoming poll, most believed that the two issues should not be correlated.
