Women's rights are a priority

Written By Unknown on Thursday, 25 April 2013 | 02:38

The safety and security of women and children in Thailand are not the best they could be, but the situation in India is worse (and congratulations to CNN in the US for regular coverage of Indian women's and children's travails). Things can only improve for Indian women and children if Thais join their struggle, and, likewise, conditions for Thai women and children can only improve here after advances in India.

I read about protecting wild animals and zoo animals, protecting foreigners from "dual pricing", protecting trees and the environment, protecting our minds from dead British politicians and protecting our bodies from ham sandwiches, but why not start with protecting women and children in India, Thailand and everywhere else?

Let's get our priorities straight.
